As you know, a tragic event occurred to one of our LMS families over the Winter Break.
A mother of one of our students was killed in a car accident, leaving her 4-year-old daughter without her mom. As this news has rippled through the community, many parents have been asking how they can talk about this with their young children.
We are proud to be able to offer an evening of communication about grief and death this Thursday evening with a child psychologist. Dr. Tarane Sondoozi holds a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and has over 30 years of extensive experience in clinical and organizational settings as an executive coach, an organizational development consultant and educator. She is the Doctor working with this family through this tragic time and has offered to share her knowledge and experience with our families.
I hope that you can attend this evening. We are hosting this so quickly as we know kids and families are talking about this right now. We won't be discussing the family, in particular, this event is just to discuss how to communicate the concepts of grief and death with children.
As this is a last minute opportunity, we cannot offer child care and will not have a full dinner at this event. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

Thank you for your attention, we hope to see you Thursday.
