Parents Can Now See The Campus By Watching Videos Online

Three Lifetime Montessori school virtual tours are now available for parents to see their Toddler, Primary, Kindergarten & Elementary classrooms, and playgrounds online.  Then, live Zoom meetings are available with Kristin Edwards, M.Ed., Director, to answer questions.

Toddler Program

The toddler program is for children aged 18-36 months. During this most impressionable time, students are focused on talking, toileting, cleaning up, and getting dressed. Lifetime Montessori school (LMS) features a ‘six to one student/teacher ratio. 

In the Toddler program, practical life skills like working with water, food & child-sized challenges (like toilet training) allow children to extend themselves while learning to do by and for themselves. Our Method gives children the confidence to explore and not be afraid to fail. 

Primary Program

The Primary program for children aged three years through Kindergarten is a more advanced learning environment. 

We use a core Montessori Method philosophy—making mistakes is okay! Kids get lessons individually from their teachers. Then, each child is observed going at his or her own pace and what needs to challenge them. As a result, kids learn to love the process of learning, making mistakes, and trying again to build success and confidence. They are given more complex and challenging materials as they continue through the school year.

LMS features English/Spanish language immersion classes which are designed to build verbal fluency by Kindergarten. “Language is easy when you start early. Children learn lessons—first all in English, then all in Spanish. Over time, they pick up hundreds of bilingual words just matter-of-factly,” Edwards says.

Elementary Program 

The  Elementary program is for children in Grades 1 through 6. Since children change and transition in their development, the learning environment is changed to match their growth from concrete learning to a more abstract level. 

During these grades, we work on creating more social development--like being together, helping each other, and policing each other. As students turn six, they become more abstract learners. In other words, they begin to imagine the concepts they are taught. So, now we teach them differently.

Elementary school lessons are group-oriented based on moving at each child’s own pace. During these lessons, our teacher sees your child’s growth and places them on their path. 

Since they work at their own pace, kids become confident learners.
